Cubs

Cub Scouts are the second section of Scouts and welcome girls and boys aged 8 to 10½. Cubs enjoy a wide range of activities such as swimming, music, exploring, computing, outdoor pursuits and much more. Many of these activities can help cubs earn badges that are worn on their uniform. There is a diverse array of badges to be earned including Map Reading, Hikers, Nights Away, Gardeners, DIY and 6 challenge badges to collect in order to gain the Silver chief scout award – the highest award you can get in Cubs.

Occasionally during the year, there will be the option to join with other Cub packs and Scout groups in the area to take part in district events often on a Saturday or Sunday. In the past, these have included day trips to the zoo, Brownsea Island as well as Camping and St Georges Day parades. Participation in these is entirely voluntary and for some there will be an additional cost to cover coach travel etc.

How do I join Cubs?

If you would like your son or daughter to join the 3rd Salisbury Cub Scout Pack, please send us a message using the contact form on the right. We limit the pack size to a maximum of 24 and there is frequently a waiting list, so please put your name down early to avoid disappointment. We also welcome adults who would like to join as leaders or helpers. Please contact us to see how you can get involved!
